Top Tips for your Stay on the Isle of Wight...

The Island has so much to offer, it's difficult to know where to start when planning your visit... We hope that the suggestions below will help you plan your stay.

Where's the best place to eat on the Isle of Wight?

We've mentioned some local places to eat on our Local Info page, but where's the best place to eat is of course very much down to your own personal preference, but here are some of ours... the Three Buoys, Appley overlooks the Solent across to Portsmouth and is the perfect spot for sunny lunch on the terrace.  Just down the road from the Three Buoys is The Duck, run by former Head Chef of The Seaview Hotel, Charlie Bartlett.  If you're looking to venture to West Wight, then The Hut, Colwell is a must visit, sit outside on the roof terrace watching the sun dip below the water on summer's night there really is no other place to be...

Given that the Isle of Wight is also known as the 'Garden Isle' wherever you dine you will be spoilt for choice with our local Isle of Wight produce - beef, lamb, pork, Paul Murphy's hand cut bacon, the Tomato Stall's balsamic smoked tomatoes, cherries, asparagus, Isle of Wight Oyster mushrooms, Green Barn's goat kefir, and even goat's milk soap
